Frequently Asked Questions

We hope to answer your questions on this page. If you cannot find the answer you are looking for, please contact us by emailing or by calling 07359440624.

What areas do you cover?

We cover all of England, and if required we can travel further afield. We are however limited to UK Mainland.

There will be alcohol at my event - is this an issue?

Absolutely not! We appreciate a lot of events where our trailer may end up involve alcohol. We do however not allow any food or drinks on our trailer, and do reserve the right to refuse participation if we deem a participant too intoxicated.

What is the weather is poor?

Well, in the UK what else can you expect? Our trailer can be installed on softer surfaces such as grassed areas as we boast a lightweight trailer compared to our competitors. If the weather is too poor for us to install on grass, we may seek a hardstanding alternative such as a car park if possible. Our trailer doesn't have a permanent roof, but we can install a temporary rain cover, and can provide a covered waiting area at an additional cost.

What is the layout of the trailer?

Our trailer features a single throwing lane, with scoreboard for multiple participants. This makes for great competition when playing with friends or family! The trailer is strictly one participant at a time, plus a member of our team. An extension to the trailer is also available.

Our trailer is more compact than many other mobile axe throwing providers - but this doesn't impact the experience. Our trailer boasts a full sized, single throwing lane but allows us to install our axe throwing where other providers simply cannot access!

What is AxeSMASH?

AxeSMASH is a game of our own creation! Unleash your inner lumberjack and test your strength by chopping up logs using chopping axes. This is a great workout and is great fun! Why not see who can chop logs fastest?

What is the minimum participant age?

All participants must be over the age of 12. Any participants under 18 are required to be accompanied by an adult at all times for safety reasons.

Is Axe Throwing safe?

Incredibly so! We provide a safe environment for guests to enjoy the increasingly popular sport here in the UK. Our team will give all necessary safety and instruction briefings and answer any questions at all times.

Can you install anywhere?

Pretty much, yes. We always recommend checking with your venue or site to ensure they can accommodate our trailer and can provide us a space to install. We must allow space for our trailer, our towing vehicle and a safe waiting area for guests. For this reason, we guideline our required area as 10sq-m.

How can I check your availability?

The easiest way to see if we are available on your desired date is to complete the form on our 'Book Event' page. We will get back to you within 24 hours and are able to place a temporary hold on your chosen date for you to check with your venue. This temporary hold is free of charge, and is held for a further 48 hours. A temporary hold may not be available if there are multiple requests for the same date, however this will be openly communicated with all parties for total transparency.

Why do I need to pay a deposit?

A deposit allows us to secure your chosen date, and lets us make all arrangements on our end to make your event memorable for you and your guests! Deposits are non-refundable and are deducted from the total hire cost. All hires include VAT charged at 20%.

What is included with the hire?

Each hire includes the following:

- Our bespoke Axe Throwing trailer

- Enough crew to cover the duration of hire

- Enough axes and spare target boards in case of any breakages

- Any add-on hires such as AxeSMASH or additional targets. A full list of add-on hires is available here.

What should I wear?

Please wear whatever you are comfortable in, suitable for the weather on the day! Most event hires are outdoors, however we can install indoors as well as long as space and access allows. Please, however, only wear closed toe footwear. We can't allow flip-flops, sandals or certain high heel shoes onto our trailer - this includes high heels which may cause you to become unbalanced.

What are the rules of the game?

Simple really - throw an axe or tomahawk at a wooden target and try and score the highest! Our target board features a slightly smaller than usual WATL target set up, where the outer rings are scored 1 through 4, bullseyes are 6 points and the blue 'killshots' are worth 8 points. Maximum points per game is 80. You'll get time to practice, then 10 throws to score as high as possible. Winner takes the bragging rights! We do occasionally run on-the-day challenges, where prizes are available as well as our in-game extras. Any on-the-day challenges will be advertised on the boards on the trailer!
